ORLANDO, FL – The Sanibel model at Canopy Oaks in Winter Garden won a prestigious Excel Award at the 38th annual Southeast Building Conference (SEBC) for “Best Model in Florida” in the $500,000 to $1 Million price range.

The Sanibel features classic Mediterranean architecture, luxurious interior design details and an Owner’s Suite and Bath that also won a 2016 Parade of Homes award.

The home is one of three models offered by A.R. Bailey Homes at Canopy Oaks, located on Roper Road between historic downtown Winter Garden and Winter Garden Village.   The homes have up to 4,600 square feet and are priced from the low $600s.

“We are introducing ‘The New Look of the Dream Home’ with fresh, new designs,” said Mason Simpson, who is developing Canopy Oaks.   “The Excel Award judges are industry experts who recognized our attention to detail in the design and the efficiency of the floor plan. The Sanibel answers the needs of today’s lifestyles like no other home in this price range.”

Interior features and appointments also set the Sanibel apart. According to Tom Garver, CEO of A.R. Bailey Homes, many of the standard features at Canopy Oaks are upgrades or not available at other communities, including arched solid wood double entry doors, hideaway telescoping sliding glass doors, staircases with stained wood treads and hand-forged iron railings and opulent Owner’s Baths with the latest fixtures and finishes.

Despite having just opened this spring, Garver noted there are nine homes under construction at Canopy Oaks because of the fast sales pace. He said they are fortunate to have inventory homes available for buyers who need a home soon.

The SEBC is the largest building industry trade show in the southeastern United States, encompassing 11 states.   Judges for the Excel Awards include industry experts in homebuilding, new home design, interior design and marketing.
